After successfully breaking down the steel door that held her captive, C3-701 had waited. Just to see if anyone would notice. Their were no men outside her door, unusual. Taro was nowhere to be found and the camera system was now dead. She wondered what had happened to Taro's nervous assistant, she was never usually far from his side.

That didn't really matter though, not to C3-701. Freedom was what mattered in the end. Once she had confirmed that no one was coming to confine her again, she made a break for it. The door to the laboratory was down a very extensive corridor and was usually guarded. Those men were anywhere and everywhere.

Though, they were not here now. That meant something was going on. What it was, was not something she was going to think about. The exit was nearby and C3-701 wanted to get through it as soon as possible.

She had almost gotten there too. Then, as she approached the exit, she saw Chizuko. It was the last person she expected to see and the person she didn't really want to see. Not after leaving the original's house following the comfort Chizuko had provided. How would she react if she caught up with the clone? Would she be angry?

C3-701 was unsure. So unsure of what to do now. Once she saw Chizuko, she turned around, not wanting to face her. That mean she was only heading further into the place that had been her hell on Earth. She didn't really know where she was going, always being locked away had meant that most of the building was completely alien to the clone. White walls and no signs to let her know what hall led to where. Not many doors and not a single person there, other than C3-701 and Chizuko, who was close now.

Little did they both know, they were heading to a source of danger.

                                                                                 ***********

Outside, there was no time to think. Matilde had chosen her next target and the men were focusing keeping those who remained outside of the building away from the door. They had no time, no emotion to deal with their fallen brother. They had orders to follow and they were going to follow them to the very end. Stopping the group was necessary; any death that came during this was just a measure which helped.

Seeing one of the men, now dead and exposing his inside, meant the group knew what they were up against out here. It had taken Chizuko several tries to finally defeat one, they didn't possess as much strength as she did, but they certainly would not give up.

The men were one thing but Matilde was another. Kotori had seen her coming but hadn't realised she was heading straight for her specifically. Thankfully, Matilde had been slowed by the damage she had sustained in her fight with Chizuko. As the only other cyborg there, she was the only one who stood a chance against Matilde. Humans could not properly stand up to them, Falco only just managed it and as for Taro, they didn't know what else he had up his sleeve yet.

The two had clashed before but only for a brief amount of time. It was during the liberation and Matilde's close-range combat skills had meant Kotori could not handle her as well back then. This time, Kotori was sure she could take her on. The skills necessary to be able to do their jobs, along with all of the basic skills needed in life, had been written into all of the cyborgs brains during creation. Whether or not the cyborg used them well was a different matter.

First move made; Matilde went for a good old-fashioned punch. Kotori managed to block it. Behind her, her friends were trying to work out how to beat the androids. She needed to focus on Matilde though. Her counterattack came in the form of a kick. Direct to Matilde's side, just under where her armour was. No way she could block it.

And she didn't. Kotori's boot impacted with Matilde's side and the former leader ended up a few metres away.

However, she wasn't down for long.

                                                                               ***********

Three against nineteen was not at all fair. Fair, though, in this world, was an almost foreign subject. With Kotori now fighting Matilde, the three remaining outside had to deal with the men. Cyborgs were tough to beat but androids were composed of a lot more metal.

Sora, having barely any combat experience, felt more intimidated than usual. Even though Minato and Akemi were there, she still felt uneasy. Chizuko had disappeared into the laboratory and Sora was left out here, surrounded. There was no point letting her fear get the best of her, not now. She just had to keep herself calm and help out as best she could.

"This isn't going to be easy," Akemi threw two of her knives towards the men, only one hit its target, "They have probably been programmed with all sorts of combat skills."

"Whoever said anything in life was easy? Let's just beat these guys and get back to makin' this place better for all of us!"

Minato took a swing at one of the men with her baseball bat. It was a less effective weapon than Chizuko's sword or Akemi's knives but it wouldn't stop her from trying. They had to use all they had to avoid losing their chance of not being able to save Yuzuki.

Seeing the two, giving it everything they had, reassured the young dragon. She had witnessed the fight with Falco up close, watching how Chizuko used all the determination she had and then had used her own will power to save Chizuko from death. She had managed to overcome fear once before, so there was no reason why she couldn't do it again.

Then, five of them came at her. Sora had been sighted as the weakest. To them, taking her down, even if she was a dragon, wouldn't be much of a problem. Their programming giving them the best way to dispose of her, the five quickly surrounded Sora. It was an easy task but they didn't realise that in the time they had spent running quick algorithms, Sora had found a way to beat them.

A crimson glow emitted from her body. Within seconds, the men had gone from looking at a small girl to a majestic (but no bigger) ruby-red dragon. Her sapphire eyes showed her resolve.

No amount of algorithms could recreate surprise, they didn't have the capacity for that. She was an enemy, no matter the form she was in. All that mattered was following orders. Sora was an obstacle. They didn't stop or try to run, they simply carried on forward.

Fear started to creep back into Sora's mind but she quickly blocked it. Defeating these men was the important issue right now. She kept herself calm and focused, breathing in and out. Channeling her inner strength, she waited for the right moment to strike. They were close but not close enough yet. She needed to be patient for a few moments more and then, it would be time.

                                                                                ***********

Several corridors and much frustration later, the two appeared within the main room of the laboratory. It was only the intended destination of one of them but now, they were both there.

There was no time to exchange words though.

"Well, it seems that you've made it, First," He narrowed his eyes when he saw C3-701, who was shaking, "And we have an uninvited guest."

"Where's Yuzuki?"

Chizuko wasn't here to waste time. She was here to liberate Yuzuki and C3-701 from Taro's clutches.

Smiling, as always, Taro clicked his fingers. Footsteps sounded. It wasn't long before Chizuko saw the girl, whom she had last seen bravely surrendering herself. Yuzuki didn't look herself, her eyes were now blank. She vacantly stared at Chizuko, as though she couldn't truly recognise her friend.

It didn't take long for Chizuko to realise that Taro had Yuzuki under his control.

So, now Yuzuki will fight against Chizuko? :o Taro surely is cruel.

I see that Sora's dragon is already bigger than previously - it's already the size of the girl. :meow: Seems like she has improved.
